I tried to buy this car new in 1969 from Hollister Motors in Boulder, Colorado. I was 17 and my father wouldn't co-sign the paperwork! My brother was the second owner of the car in 1971 and sold it to me in 2010 (finally). I have spoken to the original owner who shared the car's history from 1969 to 1971 with me. The rest of the car's history I pretty much know first hand. The only oddity of this car is that it was built with power steering and brakes but radio delete--I would have thought a radio delete car would be destined for drag racing but would not have the power options. Otherwise, it is void of options. The vehicle was wrecked just before I got it but is fixable. Original motor removed in about 1976 and I have it in the shop. Original transmission is long gone; only other non-original items are wheels and the seat frames! It has Roadrunner seats in it, front and back, and my brother never gave me a reasonable explanation as to why that occurred, other than he traded them to a friend who had a '69 Roadrunner that he drag raced. The friend eventually sold the Roadrunner and doesn't recall why they traded seats either, but there went my broadcast sheet!
